A personal journey
The journey from Galleon to Gillian
At 60, I'm documenting a personal journey of identity, acceptance and change — one chapter at a time.
Welcome
For most of my life, the world knew me as Galleon. My journey toward becoming Gillian began in August 2025, long before this website existed.
What followed has been a gradual process of asking difficult questions, making decisions, experiencing change and learning to live more honestly. Some changes are visible; others happen quietly, in how I see myself and the name I now answer to.
I'm sharing this journey as it unfolds — the milestones, reflections and uncertainties as well as the joy of finally allowing myself to become Gillian. You can read the fuller story and follow each new chapter here.
This isn't the story of becoming someone else. It is the story of finally allowing Gillian to emerge.
